" He who wanders is not necessarily lost." | I love being in nature. I want to feel the sun, catch the breeze, feel the ocean spray. What a magnificient planet we inhabit!! And then I try to bring all that I feel, all that I experience, into my paintings. Hopefully leaving my viewers with a sense of peace and gratitude for what is all around us.
For over the past twenty years, I have traveled in this country and abroad, to capture what excites me. I have studied at the Laguna Beach School of Art and Saddleback College in Southern California, where I lived for many years. Classes at La Romita School of Art in Terni, Italy, as well as workshops with leading pastellist such as Albert Handell, Doug Dawson, Elizabeth Mowry and Richard McKinley among others have added to my education.
Although I love working with Pastel and Watercolor, I have recently discovered the wonderful medium of ENCAUSTIC. This exciting new genre includes the use of beeswax, resin and blowtorches! The process is a great deal of fun!
My work is mainly in private collections but can be seen at one of my upcoming shows or by appointment.
